Our lady of Mercy hospital was founded by the Lord bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Anthony G.Nwedo C.S.S.P, of blessed memory the then Catholic bishop of Umuahia diocese in 1962. The hospital is located along Umuahia-Owerri road, about 3km from seven and half junction.Since then the hospital has served Obowo local government and beyond.
